[PC News] AMD show new opteron

AMD show new CPU - opteron. Two 8-core and three 12-core !! but wait :D this is CPU for ... servers :P

  • Opteron 6132 HE: 2,2 GHz,L3 12 MB, TDP 65 W, price 591 $
  • Opteron 6140: 2,6 GHz, L3 12 MB 80 W, price 989 $
  • Opteron 6166 HE: 1,6 GHz,L3 12 MB TDP 65 W, price 873 $
  • Opteron 6176: 2,3 GHz L3 12 MB  TDP 80 W, price 1265 $
  • Opteron 6180 SE: 2,5 GHz, L3 12 MB , TDP 105 W, price 1514 $

    quadcore just great for a personal computer. My friend as a six core but honestly I can't think of much personal computer work that would require that much processing, even when multitasking.
